A continuing intergenerational lineage of Masters defines Radhasoami.
Devotees’ uninterrupted spiritual progress across lifetimes Enables Radhasoami.

In my heart reverberates the primordial Sound Radhasoami.
My dazzled eyes behold the Countenance of Radhasoami.

I Just Want Out Fast. {138.}

Radhasoami!
****

This life seems got not of my asking
I withdraw from it into my own being.

I seek to be neither beggar nor king
Evolved beyond need of thought, emotion, talking, doing.

My best hours are spent but in meditating
Deaf to the world, hearing celestial bells ringing.

Nothing worthwhile has ever come free or easy
Redemption needs deep faith, perseverance bred of sincerity.

Life is a nightmare that cannot long last
Help me Lord, I just want out fast!

The Soul Is God Within. {137.}

Radhasoami!
****

The soul is God within one’s being.

Does the soul really exist?

Scientific attempts to locate the soul
have apparently failed miserably so far.

If a thing cannot be proved to exist,
that does not ipso facto prove
that it does not exist altogether.

The way to God is through the soul.

The soul is the divine spark
latent in every being.

The soul can be accessed
through meditation, if performed rightly
under the tutelage of a living Master.

Mysticism will yield all the answers
that humanity sorely needs
and science cannot provide.

The quest for truth involves
tapping into one’s own soul,
and exploring the divine realms
that the soul can reach.

There is nothing without
that’s not already within!

God, I shall yet know Thee
in awakening my own soul internally.

Sacred Bhandara: Recalling Guru Bachans {78.}

Choose Guru, Not the World.
****

Sant Satguru ke saath preeti pratheeti karo. Wah sab duniyadaron aur duniya ke bakhedon se Chudawenge aur Apne mein preeti aisi Lagawenge ki jo param anand ko prapth karawegi. Duniya ke thagon ke saath preeti karo, tho wah aise sakht thaur se apne jaal mein jeeva ko jakad lenge ki marte waqt nihayath mushkil padegi.”

---- Param Guru Huzur Saheb Ji Maharaj; Bachan Bhag I, No. 100, Page 324.
****

Its simple translation into English may be rendered as follows:

“You should develop love for and faith in the Revered Leader. He Will Extricate you from the squabbles of the worldly people and the world, and Inspire devotion to Him in such a manner that you will attain unto ultimate bliss. If one harbors love for the frauds of the world, then they will so deeply entangle the living being in their traps that it will cause one immense difficulty at the time of death.”

There’s Many a Slip Betwixt … {135.}

Radhasoami!
****

Yes, there’s many a slip betwixt …

the cup & the lip,

one’s being & its perceptions,

the aspiration & the action,

the deed & the outcome,

the belief & the reality,

the emotion & attained happiness,

the truth & its expression,

the sin & its reckoning,

this world & utopian ideal,

one’s faith & its consummation,

one’s prayer & God’s Grace,

life's uncertainties & death's finality,

one’s meditation & final redemption.

Indeed, too many a slip betwixt ....

Life is Akin to Hell. {134.}

Radhasoami!
****

A pig can be content
to wallow in the muck.

So, human contentment is hardly
an absolute measure
of one’s state of existence.

God, paradise, salvation,
and such words
have obviously remained mere words
despite umpteen divine incarnations worldwide,
many global religions,
and centuries of humanity’s
apparent quest for a veritable utopia.

Humanity is confused and floundering,
drowned in its own flood
of meaningless knowledge.

You’ve got to know
just what you’re missing
to truly want it.

The rare soul
who sincerely yearns for God
naturally believes in the hereafter
perhaps as all fail to.

To such a one,
life does become akin to hell
and eternal bliss draws her
across the threshold of life.

I fear this world seems destined
to witness many a disaster yet
before frolicking humanity really needs to:
believe in the beyond,
desperately turn to God,
and earnestly strive for its redemption.

Stop … Pause Awhile … Wonder … Think! {132.}

Radhasoami!
****

Halt!
Pause awhile.

Stop living your usual life.
Take a break from routine.

You’ve been doing it for too long enough.
Have you got what you desired or expected?
Are you headed in the right direction?
Will this lead you to your destination?

The unreflected life is measly existence
or a brutish engagement
in the senseless ratrace
that characterizes most life.

Get out of the rut.
Accept that you are yet alien to God,
remote from the possibility
of your salvation,
and guarantee of attaining paradise.

This world is a temporary station,
decreed by the gods for destruction.

Life is but an illusory reality.

Tap into your innermost being,
you shall access the divine spark ,
which is your priceless soul.

This world is mere quicksand
and life a fleeting chance
for you to realize God.

Prove that you are a being
made in the likeness of God --
aware, enlightened, responsible, moral --
by valuing and persevering for your redemption
seriously, rightly, earnestly, determinedly, intensely, ….

Take a break
from your way of living,
and invent another
more adequate for your salvation.

You May Revisit Blog Regularly. {128.}

Radhasoami!
****

I had begun this blog by initially updating it on a daily basis. After a while, I decided to give it a break. There has, therefore, been a six-month long hiatus in my blog postings.

However, the constant spate of visitors to this humble blog has been growing unabated. Besides, I see that over half of the visitors to it are from various countries around the world, especially the US, the UK, Australia, and a wide spectrum of such other nations as Iraq and even neighboring Pakistan.

I hope all visitors leave my blog subtly better persons and devotees of God, and lead to a slightly better world for all God’s creatures to live in.

My entire living and all my deeds are essentially inspired by the Supreme Godhead and are in some way or the other dedicated to His lofty service, and my blog postings are naturally determined by Grace.

I shall henceforth -- God willing -- be regularly updating this blog, at least twice every week, most probably on every Monday and Thursday.

I thank all visitors who care to read my writings for their time, and most importantly, for that spiritual urge within them that draws them here.

I earnestly pray that the Supreme Lord guide all rightly to Himself.

Death is the Final Beloved. {126.}

Death is the Final Beloved. {126.}
****

Radhasoami!

The world is too unreal and perishable.

Life is too fractured and fleeting.

The self is one’s responsibility.

God alone is real, desirable and important.

One’s soul alone matters eternally.

Meditation is the most worthwhile activity possible.

The goal is one’s final salvation ensured.

Death is merely crossing over
from life into the afterlife.

Death is the only embrace that can
lead one to divine bliss,
if one has striven rightly
for redemption during one’s lifetime.

So, let my love for my Maker
daw me inexorably towards Him.

Ah, Death, my final beloved,
I long for your kiss.

Intensely Seeking Salvation is Rare.
****

Sumiran, Dhyan, Bhajan aur Pothi ka Paath karne waale Satsangi tho bahut milthe hain, magar aise Satsangi bahut kam hain jo sachhe dil se yeh chahte hon ki is duniya ke ragdon jhagdon se jald chutkara ho, yani shareer choot jaave aur Maalik ke Charnon mein pahunchen.”

---- Param Guru Maharaj Saheb Ji; Bachan Part II, No. 20, Page 31.
****

Its simple translation into English may be rendered as follows:

“One can find many Satsangis who perform Sumiran, Dhyan or Contemplation, Bhajan or Meditation, or recite Paaths or hymns from the scriptures, but such Satsangis are very few who really desire from their hearts that they be freed from the frictions and fights of this world, that is, they shed their bodies and reach the Lotus Feet of the Supreme Lord.”

Desire for God and Salvation. {124.}

Desire for God and Salvation. {124.}
****

Radhasoami!

The Buddha had named desire
as the root of suffering.

Desire is, indeed, central to
all human engagements and desserts.

Nothing in life can be achieved
without a consuming desire for it.

Alsorans fare ill even in spirituality,
which mandates total commitment.

The essential perspective in the blockbuster film The Matrix
is not without its foundation in reality and logic.

This world and life are not real
they are merely a means
for the soul to awaken
and arrive unto its Maker.

The one who lives
determined and guided by
this perspective and focus
naturally grows indifferent to the
fleeting plays of illusory reality.

Hence, one ought to form
only the fewest of relationships,
involve in the world minimally,
and limit one’s external attachments.

Let the soul ever meditate
longing ardently for its Parent,
and eternal bliss in the loftiest paradise.

Desire only God and salvation
sincerely, rightly, wholeheartedly, intensely.

God inexorably draws such a one
unto Her sacred lap and bosom.

Features of the Ideal Religion. {119.}

Features of the Ideal Religion. {119.}
****

Radhasoami!

The ideal religion ought to ideally

have the following few
ideal components & features,
in a life where little
is ever ideal.

It should firstly have a
divine dimension to it,
having been founded by a
divine incarnation;
for what’s a religion without God?

There must be continuity in the
Mission of the religion,
beyond the shedding of body
by its founder;
an intergenerational lineage of gurus
appears rather inevitable.

It should address the human individual’s
need to pray, and teach one how to
meditate so as to
awaken one’s soul and
internally access the lofty divine realms,
thereby ensuring one’s salvation.

The ideal religion must ideally
naturally usher in
a better society
and a world that is
{saner}, more just and peaceful.

All this seems to be
a tall order.

So, how many religions
meet the above criteria,
or does even one do so?

Let time prove and effect,
for God’s will is mysterious,
subtle, but final.

Only Internal Ascent Is Meaningful.
****

Yeh desh Santon ne swapn mathr bayan kiya hai. Yani jaise aadmi so gaya, tho bas sab gayab hai. Isi tarah aage ke rasthe ka insaan ko kuchh nahin patha.... Jo sachha Naam aur sachha Shabda ho raha hai aur sachha Guru jo us rasthe par chala hua hai, jiske sab pat khule hue hain, uska dhyan kiya jaave aur sachha Shabad suna jaave, tab rastha thay ho sakega. So jab thak yeh abhyaas na kiya javega, kaam nahin banega. Baahar yani jagrath awastha ki karrawayi se kuchh nahin banega.”

---- Param Guru Huzur Sarkar Saheb Ji; Bachan Bhag I, No. 21, Page 166.
****

Its simple translation into English may be rendered as follows:

“The Saints have described this world to resemble a mere dream. That is, as soon as one sleeps, it all just vanishes. In like manner, the human knows nothing about the journey into the beyond.... The chanting of the true Name and the listening to the true Sound and the true Guru, whose channels are all open, if He is meditated upon and the true Sound were to be heard, then can the path be traversed. So, until this meditation is practised, it will be of no avail. Nothing can be achieved from external or wakeful activities.”

Desirability of Awakening Soul’s Powers.
****

Is baath ka khyal rakhna chahiye ki duniyan mein agar badshahath bhee mil jaave, tho waha bhee chandroza hai. Isse khushi asli nahin ho sakti hai. Farz karo ki ek shakhs badshah hai. Doosre shakhs ne tan man ke parey jo surat ki shakti hai, usko jagaya hai, jisse waha is zindagi mein bhee khush rahta hai aur marne ke baad bhee. Ab khyal karo ki jo badshah mahaz 10, 20, 50 saal badshahat karke khush rahta hai, aur doosra, jisne surat ki taakath jagayi hai, hamesha is zindagi mein wa baad marne ke bhee khush rahta hai, tho waha zyada khush hua ya badshah? Isliye tum sabko chahiye ki padhne ke saath saath apni surat ki taakath bhee jagane ki koshish karthe raho aur duniyan ke khushi ke samaan ke paane par magan nahin hona chahiye, yeh khyal karke ki yeh thehrau anand nahin hai ya ismein asal phayda humari rooh ka nahin hai.”

---- Param Guru Huzur Saheb Ji Maharaj; Bachan Bhag I, No. 13, Page 312.
****

Its simple translation into English may be rendered as follows:

“It must always be borne in mind that even if one were to get kingship in the world, it would only be temporary. It cannot lead to true happiness. Suppose there is a king. Another person has awakened his soul’s powers, which are beyond the body or the mind, so that he gets happiness both in this life and in the hereafter. Now consider that the king who remains happy with his kingship for mere 10, 20, 50 years, and the other, who has awakened his soul’s powers, and remains happy both in life and even beyond it, so is he the happier person or the king? That is why you all should, along with your studies, continue trying to awaken your soul’s powers, and upon acquiring a worldly pleasurable object, you should not feel overjoyed, bearing in mind that the happiness it yields is not lasting, or that it doesn’t result in any real spiritual benefit for oneself.”

All Hearts Throb for Dayalbagh. {113.}

****

As the exclusive repository
of the most glorious Nij Dhar,
the awesome Divine Current
from the loftiest paradise, Radhasoami Dham,
there is infinite responsibility upon Dayalbagh:
that of the establishment
of the Radhasoami religion
in the whole world,
and eventually universal salvation.

It’s not going to be easy,
it might seem difficult beyond words,
but divine Will triumphs over all.

Regardless of whatever happens,
let Satsangis nourish their deep faith
in the prophetic Words
of our August Founder
and our Revered Leaders.

The sun shall begin to glow
the rosier, more beneficial, truly redemptive
as the Radhasoami religion of Dayalbagh
emanates and transmits its healing rays
to every corner of this world.

Let’s await the mysterious plays
of divine Will with eagerness,
wanting the welfare of all
and trusting Gracious Huzur absolutely.

Praying for Instant Salvation, Lord. {107.}

****
Radhasoami!

The following Paath {or hymn} lines,
from the holy Sar Bachan {Nazm}
Mercifully Penned by our August Founder,
have always meant immensely to me:

Ab tho man kar chuka pukaar /
Radhasoami, Karo udhhaar
.”

That is,
“The heart has now cried out,
Radhasoami, Redeem me.”

I find the use of the word
ab’ {or ‘now’} to be especially significant.

It appears to hide within it
untold striving, agonies, realizations.

So that finally, the heart
beseeches the Lord for salvation.

Well, much as this might seem
to be denying or escaping life,
that’s what the essence and import
of Radhasoami religion is all about.

This perishable world is to be quit,
life is to come to an end,
and the soul is to merrily
retrace its path to its
original, blissful and eternal Paradise.

Radhasoami Religion is about Death. {106.}

****
Radhasoami!

This world is not real.

Life is brief, and merely
an opportunity to attain salvation.

The meaning and purpose of life
stem from but its eventual cessation.

This may sound strange,
but is nevertheless true.

It is the deserving soul
that early, clearly and seriously
dedicates itself to achieving redemption.

Meditation in the prescribed manner,
helped by the Guru’s Grace,
can enable any sincere devotee
to experience death during meditation,
to transcend and master death.

Death naturally loses its sting
for such a blessed devotee.

One realizes what reality is,
and knows that one has
attained a paradise that’s
glorious, blissful and eternal.

Practice This: Less is More. {101.}

****
Radhasoami!

The aware, spiritually inclined, soul
will be naturally focused on the transcendental.

I may add that every Satsangi
ought to be such a soul.

So, a Satsangi should involve oneself
only minimally in base, worldly matters.

The world is hardly real;
life is a brief exercise.

The only worthwhile engagement is
the soul’s awakening and ascent
into the lofty divine realms.

Material possessions, worldly successes, and
sensual happiness ought to matter
the least they possibly can.

Less is more;
the less that you value the world,
the more do you deserve of God.

There is an inverse relationship
between the world and God,
and Satsangis better realize it.

Desires ought to be reduced,
to enable yearning for God.

As per the Paath {or hymn} lines,
Dil ka hujra saaf kar,
Jaana ke Aane ke liye /
Dhayn gairon ka hata,
Usko bithane ke liye
.”

That is,
“Cleanse the receptacle of your heart,
For the Beloved to Arrive,
Withdraw attention from others,
To enable His occupancy.”

So, be gladly satisfied with less,
since less of materialism
spells more of spirituality,
provided you make the right efforts,
as prescribed, towards that fruitful end.
