Karmas’ Eradication within One Lifetime.
****
“Choonki kayi janmanjanm ke yani sanchit karma aur uske pahle janm ke prarabdh karma aur isi janam ke kriyamarn karma, sab isi ek janam mein Santon ne bhugthane hain, so agar in karmon ka poora poora phal bhugatna pade, tho yeh chola hee chhoot jaaye aur hum saha na saken. Magar Santon ne jo Farmaya hai ki sooli ka kanta aur man bhar ka chatank bhar kar dethe hain, yeh bilkul theek hai, warna ek janam mein saare karma saaf nahin ho sakte.... Is tarah bahut se karma abhyaas mein katthe hain.... Tho har ek jeeva jo chahiye ki jab Charnon mein aaya, pichle jo karma kar baitha tha unke wasthe pachtaye aur ayanda kadam phoonk phoonk kar rakhe.... ‘Radhasoami Choden na jise Gahen ri.’”
---- Param Guru Huzur Sarkar Saheb Ji; Bachan Bhag I, No. 25, Page 176.

Its simple translation into English may be rendered as follows:
“Because the load of the accumulated karmas of countless lifetimes and the latent karmas of the previous lifetime and the manifest karmas of the present birth, the Saints are to cause all to be worked out in this single lifetime, so if the effects of these karmas were to be borne in full, then the body would have to be shed and we would not be able to endure it. However, as the Saints have Declared that the stake gets converted into a thorn and They reduce a ton to a mere speck, this is absolutely right, otherwise all the karmas could not be eradicated within one lifetime.... In this manner, umpteen karmas get worked out while in meditation.... So every being ought to, ever since surrenderance unto the holy Feet, feel remorse for one’s past karmas and henceforth perform karmas with grave deliberation {caution}.... ‘Radhasoami Doesn’t Let go of those He Grasps.’”

The Effects of Others’ Company.

“Phir sohbath ke baare mein Farmaya ki iska bhee bada asar hotha hai. Ek aadmi ke andar se kaam, krodha, lobha, moha aur ahankaar in panch angon ki beshumar dhaaren har waqt bahar nikalti rahti hain aur uske gird ek ek dhaar ek halks banathi hai. Is tarah se sansari aadmi ki fawware ki manindh {tarah} sab gilazath {gandgi} bahar nikal rahi hai. Tho jo shakhs aise shakhs ki sohbath karta hai, us par us gande halke ka asar zarur padta hai. Lekin mahatma aur Sant jan ki Sohbath se bada phayda hotha hai, kyonki Unke andar se sheel, kshama, ki Dhaaren nikal rahi hain, jo roshan daayra {ghera} banathi hain ... Agar kahin bhaag se Sant ya saadh ki Sangath mil jaave, tho usse bada phayda hotha hai, kyonki Waha Nirmal Chetan Desh ke bhandar Hain. Unse jo Dhaaren nikal rahi hain, waha tho bahut hee roshan aur prakashwan hain aur bahut dhoor dhoor thak asar karti hain.”
---- Param Guru Huzur Sarkar Saheb Ji; Bachan Bhag I, No. 17, Pages 157-8.

Its simple translation into English may be rendered as follows:
“Then Pronounced upon the subject of the company one keeps that it has great influence upon one. From everyone, the currents of lust, anger, greed, attachment and ego, umpteen rays of these five tendencies are every moment emerging out and creating an {aura or} energy-field around the person. In this manner, from a worldly person, like a fountain, such impurities keep sprouting forth.... So, whoever remains in the company of such a person, will definitely be susceptible to the adverse effects of such a dirty impact. But great benefit is derived from the company of the evolved souls and of the Saints, because from their beings, the streams of serenity and forgiveness flow out, forming a refulgent aura, ... If one is ever fortunate enough to attain the company of a Saint or a evolved soul, then one benefits incalculably therefrom, because They are the repositories of the Pure Spiritual Region. The currents that emanate from Them are extremely splendrous and shining and cause an effect up to considerable distances.”

Only Internal Ascent Is Meaningful.

“Yeh desh Santon ne swapn mathr bayan kiya hai. Yani jaise aadmi so gaya, tho bas sab gayab hai. Isi tarah aage ke rasthe ka insaan ko kuchh nahin patha.... Jo sachha Naam aur sachha Shabda ho raha hai aur sachha Guru jo us rasthe par chala hua hai, jiske sab pat khule hue hain, uska dhyan kiya jaave aur sachha Shabad suna jaave, tab rastha thay ho sakega. So jab thak yeh abhyaas na kiya javega, kaam nahin banega. Baahar yani jagrath awastha ki karrawayi se kuchh nahin banega.”
---- Param Guru Huzur Sarkar Saheb Ji; Bachan Bhag I, No. 21, Page 166.

Its simple translation into English may be rendered as follows:
“The Saints have described this world to resemble a mere dream. That is, as soon as one sleeps, it all just vanishes. In like manner, the human knows nothing about the journey into the beyond.... The chanting of the true Name and the listening to the true Sound and the true Guru, whose channels are all open, if He is meditated upon and the true Sound were to be heard, then can the path be traversed. So, until this meditation is practised, it will be of no avail. Nothing can be achieved from external or wakeful activities.”
