Real Keys to Good Health. {123.}
****
Radhasoami!
There is much being written nowadays
about the apparent body-mind connection.
Actually, a holistic approach would regard
the soul-mind-body as the true substratum.
The soul determines a person’s faith,
ego, personality, sanskaras or aspirations,
karmas or deeds, entire living,
spiritual capital, and destiny.
It’s the soul that
determines a person’s mind.
Since the body is but the medium
through which the soul intends
to attain its worldly desires
and spiritual goals,
it is the soul that actually determines
the body that the person will have.
Your health, energy, ailments, pain,
healing, recovery, and the like
are inextricably linked with your soul’s urgings.
The sword weaves a scabbard
most fit for its purposes.
Basically, it is harmony
with the divine will
that leads to peace
and lasting good health.
Besides, the effect of karmas
needs be worked out before
the soul may attain salvation,
mandating the eruption of diseases.
No, this isn’t really mumbojumbo,
and consuming Prashad {sanctified things}
is a superb means
of eradicating one’s karmas.
The point I am emphasizing
is that goodness and spirituality
are eminently good for one’s health,
for very logical reasons.
It is your minuscule soul that can
recreate every single cell of your body,
streamline every single process occurring within it,
better than the best of medicines prescribed
by the world’s best doctors possibly can.
Sure, you need meditate and
awaken your soul’s faculties adequately,
but it is verily possible.
I have glimpsed as much
in my humble earnest strivings;
may Grace guide me onwards,
I trust the divine Law.

Its simple translation into English may be rendered as follows:
“... it means that whichever way a thing has been earned or accumulated, its effect definitely occurs on the person who takes it. No person should use anything that belongs to another, because the way that the article has been accumulated, that article, rather, every atom of that article, becomes laden with the effect of that particular type of karmas. Hence, a thing is loaded with its owner’s karmas. If someone takes that thing, he will take upon himself its such karmas. Indeed, even a Satsangi should not take anything belonging to another Satsangi, nor should eat or drink at another’s expense, because everyone’s karmas are different, some more, some less. If the force of circumstances {or situations} constrains one to take something from someone, then one should give something in return for it. If the other does not accept it, one ought to spend that much on spiritual matters. If the saints or great souls mercifully use something belonging to another, then the donor becomes the recipient of considerable Grace.”

I Never Asked for It. {111.}
****
Radhasoami!
One might wonder at why
one happens to be alive.
One may choose to think,
one never asked for it.
But that isn’t really true.
One was born because one
must have wanted one’s birth.
One is alive because one
essentially wants to be alive.
It’s all got to do
with the soul and one’s
accumulated karmas and present sanskaras
{respectively meaning, deeds and tendencies}.
Sure, one may be encumbered
by one’s past negative karmas,
but all that can be
nullified with one’s present karmas.
It’s said that one can
fight fire only with fire.
So, when the world asserts itself,
battle it with one’s deep spirituality.
When people trouble you,
battle for your values.
The self is willy-nilly pitted
in a battle with most of non-self.
I mean battle figuratively, of course,
though it frequently occurs literally too.
One ought to live
intensely committed to God,
with indifference, goodwill, compassion
towards all of life,
{no, there’s no fundamental contradiction
in what I wrote above}
and earnestly persevering for one’s salvation.
This is the very best
of all philosophy and religions,
of course as I humbly see it.

Faulting Others or Perfecting Oneself. {85.}
****
Radhasoami!
Every person is actually alone.
Sure, God is constantly together,
at least with earnest devotees
who really believe in Him
and live by His precepts.
The soul is separate,
one’s values, sanskaras {tendencies},
karmas {deeds} and fate remain individual.
One’s family and relationships
play a vital role,
in helping one live
to fulfill one’s potential.
“Math dekh paraye augun /
Kyon paap badhaye din din.”
That is,
“Don’t watch others’ vices,
Why commit more sins daily?”
I am sorry I am not a perfect God;
I am an imperfect human.
However, I can definitely improve
and try to perfect myself.
Why need one waste one’s time
dwelling on others’ faults?
They may live as they please.
They may die as they merit.
True, one should generally
try to guide and help others.
Yet, let’s remember that
the soul is individual,
continue with your journey
the best you can!
As I remember having read somewhere,
“For peace of mind,
resign as the general manager
of the universe.”

Practice Makes Perfect, Turns Real. {72.}
****
Radhasoami!
“Kachhi se ek din hoegi pukki /
Jaisi baney taisi kar bhakti.”
Very apt, true and encouraging!
That is,
“From imperfect, it will become perfect,
Perform devotions just as you can.”
The above Paath or hymn lines from
the holy Sar Bachan {Nazm}
exhort us to continue
in our devotions to the Guru.
Do whatever you can,
do however you can,
do a much as you can.
Just don’t fail.
Just do it.
& keep on doing it.
Do your best and most,
even if is is imperfect,
even if it is limited.
Every karma or deed counts.
Every deed is being recorded.
All that you are now experiencing
is the result of your entire past karmas.
Hence, you must now invest
fresh good deeds
for a rosier future,
and the eventual bliss
of your salvation realized.
There will never be
quite an “ideal” time
or really “ideal” circumstances.
Do what you can:
right here,
right now,
with all that you have got!
“Ab ki chook maaf nahin hogi /
Nana bidhi ke kasht saha.”
That is,
“If you lapse now,
or fail to utilize
{your opportunities, faculties, abilities,
means, resources,
which Grace has given you
& is enabling}
you won’t be forgiven this,
and you will have to
endure various difficulties thereafter.”
This is a warning;
let’s take grave heed of it.
Practice makes one’s efforts perfect.
Practice turns the aspirations real.
God judges us by our sincerity
& does not really expect
perfection from us.
Must God not know
how frail humans are?
Yet Radhasoami Dayal Loves us all,
& we must absolutely continue
our devotions & services
in whichever way we can.

Attending Sacred Bhandaras Immensely Beneficial. {70.}
****
Radhasoami!
Satsangis are scattered the world over.
The Radhasoami religion revolves around
the Revered Leader.
True, the Guru Bachan
that had prophesied
that we would be able to have
the Sant Satguru’s Darshan
even though distant
has been fulfilled
at least in part.
However, pilgrimage to Dayalbagh,
especially upon sacred Bhandaras,
Gracious Huzur’s “Sakshath Darshan”,
or beholding of Real Countenance,
the fortune of Dhan ki Seva as Bhent,
{monetary service as a contribution}
paying homage at the Pavan Smrityalaya,
the Prashad of Sale,
and Arz {or supplication}at His Lotus Feet,
all have the potential of conferring
incalculable spiritual benefit upon devotees,
if performed sincerely and rightly.
Let us not doubt that
God exists in right faith,
and Radhasoami Dayal Is always Fully Aware
of everyone’s karmas and sanskaras
{deeds and tendencies}.
Finally, Grace will consummate matters
better than we might hope.

Retain Faith in Life's Justice. {43.}
****
Radhasoami!
One is born alone,
one personally lives alone,
& one dies alone.
The self is limited,
being & experience cannot
really be totally shared.
The soul fulfils its desires,
& the load of karmas
gradually gets wiped out,
with the Guru's Grace.
One better remain individually responsible,
the awesome Law governs all existence ruthlessly.
Much as it might appear to the contrary,
there is an innate justice to life's plays.
It is just that the divine theatre
does not follow human timetables.
People can, therefore, not easily discern
the rewards their good deeds will get them,
nor unravel the punishments that God
will have the evil meet with.
One ought to, under all circumstances,
keep one's faith, values & morality.
The show is still on,
the curtains haven't yet fallen;
& while there is life,
let there also remain hope,
incentive, motivation & will
for a better living.

God is Infinite Love Personified. {16.}
****
Radhasoami!
The essence of God is love, just as has been affirmed ad infinitum by all the scriptures of all the world's major religions.
The sole cause for Incarnations to descend upon earth is love.
The single inspiration for Grace is love.
The root motivation for the urges to devotion, service & quest for salvation is love.
The prime impulse for harmony, peace, help, goodness, compassion, philanthropy and charity is love.
To love is to be good.
To love is to worship & serve God.
To love is to inch forward along the path to one’s redemption.
The Omnipresent Radhasoami Dayal Is always Keeping a minute record of all the karmas or deeds of every being.
HE Will finally Reward or Punish Justly.
Let us never doubt this.
Let’s keep the Faith, under all circumstances.
Let’s love & do good, to the infinite glory of Radhasoami Dayal’s Avatar Swaroop or Incarnated Form, as the Param Guru of Dayalbagh, Actively Functioning & Showering His Grace for the real spiritual welfare of all living beings & the entire creation.
