There’s Many a Slip Betwixt … {135.}

Radhasoami!
****

Yes, there’s many a slip betwixt …

the cup & the lip,

one’s being & its perceptions,

the aspiration & the action,

the deed & the outcome,

the belief & the reality,

the emotion & attained happiness,

the truth & its expression,

the sin & its reckoning,

this world & utopian ideal,

one’s faith & its consummation,

one’s prayer & God’s Grace,

life's uncertainties & death's finality,

one’s meditation & final redemption.

Indeed, too many a slip betwixt ....

Trust the Caring Supreme Father.
****

“The Supreme Father is always looking with solicitous care on all His children and grants from time to time divine beatitude and internal happiness to the extent which He thinks conducive to their advantage. You should always be looking forward for it and pray for its inward realization, but do not slacken your efforts when you do not experience it, as He alone knows when it should be granted and when not.

Sadness is also one of the instruments of progress and almost all whose spiritual advancement has begun have to experience an alternation of such condition. The Supreme Father is conscious of your resolve to resign yourself entirely to His will and will gradually grant you power to suffer your existence to be mended in accordance with it.

He has also Been Pleased to Accept your offer of youself and your belongings and He now Gives them back to you as His Prashadi {or Sanctified things}. You should now make a judicious use of them, and with the consciousness that they are the gifts of Your heavenly Father.”

Desirability of Awakening Soul’s Powers.
****

Is baath ka khyal rakhna chahiye ki duniyan mein agar badshahath bhee mil jaave, tho waha bhee chandroza hai. Isse khushi asli nahin ho sakti hai. Farz karo ki ek shakhs badshah hai. Doosre shakhs ne tan man ke parey jo surat ki shakti hai, usko jagaya hai, jisse waha is zindagi mein bhee khush rahta hai aur marne ke baad bhee. Ab khyal karo ki jo badshah mahaz 10, 20, 50 saal badshahat karke khush rahta hai, aur doosra, jisne surat ki taakath jagayi hai, hamesha is zindagi mein wa baad marne ke bhee khush rahta hai, tho waha zyada khush hua ya badshah? Isliye tum sabko chahiye ki padhne ke saath saath apni surat ki taakath bhee jagane ki koshish karthe raho aur duniyan ke khushi ke samaan ke paane par magan nahin hona chahiye, yeh khyal karke ki yeh thehrau anand nahin hai ya ismein asal phayda humari rooh ka nahin hai.”

Its simple translation into English may be rendered as follows:

“It must always be borne in mind that even if one were to get kingship in the world, it would only be temporary. It cannot lead to true happiness. Suppose there is a king. Another person has awakened his soul’s powers, which are beyond the body or the mind, so that he gets happiness both in this life and in the hereafter. Now consider that the king who remains happy with his kingship for mere 10, 20, 50 years, and the other, who has awakened his soul’s powers, and remains happy both in life and even beyond it, so is he the happier person or the king? That is why you all should, along with your studies, continue trying to awaken your soul’s powers, and upon acquiring a worldly pleasurable object, you should not feel overjoyed, bearing in mind that the happiness it yields is not lasting, or that it doesn’t result in any real spiritual benefit for oneself.”
