“Jab thak swansa hai, Gurubhakti karey jaana chahiye. Gurubhakti Kul Maalik ki bhakti tho hai. Aur ussey kuchh na maangey. Unko Akhthiyar hai jab Waha adhikari Dekhenge, jo Chahenge so Bakhsh Denge.”

Its simple translation into English may be rendered as follows:
“Till your breath remains, continue with your devotions to your Guru. Worship of the Guru constitutes worship of the Supreme Lord. And ask Him for nothing. He Retains the Prerogative, when He Perceives {you as} being deserving and fit, to Grant you whatever He Wants to.”
