Gurumukh sansari padarthon aur duniya ke jaal mein nahin atakta hai aur unki laabh aur haani mein dukhi sukhi nahin hotha hai aur jo koi ochhi baath kahe, tho uspar gussa nahin karta hai aur sada apne jeeva ke kalyaan aur Satguru ki Prasanntha par nazar rakhta hai.
Manmukh sansaar aur uske padarthon ka bada khyaal rakhta hai aur unki haani laabh mein jald dukhi sukhi hotha hai aur jo koi kaduwa bachan kahe, fauran gusse mein bhar aatha hai aur Satguru ki Mehar aur Samarthata ka bharosa aur khyal nahin rakhta hai

The holy Sar Bachan {Nasr}; Page 194-5: 7.

Its simple translation into English may be rendered as follows:

Gurumukh {or the Guru-inspired} doesn’t get entangled in material possessions and the worldly snare and does not become sad or happy at their profit or loss and if someone says something petty, he doesn’t get angry at him and always minds the welfare of his soul and the pleasure of the Satguru.
Manmukh {or the ego-driven} bothers a lot about the world and its objects and instantly gets sad or happy at their gain or loss and if someone says something bitter, immediately flies into a rage and doesn’t trust or value the Grace and Omnipotence of the Satguru.
